Bulgarian National day

Hi

We were in Pamporovo on Bulgarian national day & we were given a red/white band to wear for good luck. Does anyone know how long you're supposed to keep this on for? Is it the whole month/week or what? So far mines nice & clean (via showers daily) but not sure for how much longer.

Oh no, thats what my hubby said & I though he was joking. Mine doesn't look anywhere near falling off.

They are for "Grandmother march" - a Bulgarian tradition. If you see a stork during the month of march you are supposed to take off the red/white band and tie it to a fruit tree and it brings you luck

I thought you were supposed to tie it to the first blossom you see this year and then if a stork takes it from the branch you tie it to you get good luck...
