I have used my extensive weather predicting knowledge (i.e. I read Hornster and Benson's posts), and can say it is due to get colder at the end of this week.

re: Bulgarian heatwave

We have just returned from a week in Courmayeur in the Italian Alps and it was 20 c in the village on Friday afternoon. The lower slopes were in a poor state but the top ones were ok if a little icy (top of runs is about 9000 ft).We skied in Pamps in2005,2006 but enjoyed the change of country though I wouldnt recommend the slopes to beginners or 2nd year skiers as some descents are tricky(in Courmayeur that is).I am sure BG is still on our list of enjoyable ski countries.
