Bulgarian prices

I too agree with this aspect now of prices in the Ski resorts relative to the cost of living-Its starting to " take the pi**" now.I read a post how relatively The Bulgarian resorts are the most expensive in the world relative to the national GDP.

Come on guys, dont become greedy and conseqeuntly ruin the reason why people come to Bulgaria. If you are not careful your greed will end up "Shooting yourself in the foot".

re: Bulgarian prices

As a tourist, I don't normally take into account the local earnings when I am comparing prices of things, maybe, under new eco-friendly ideals, I should! The way I look at it is how is that I got a great holiday for £395 + £125 spending money. Quite a lot of this was put back in the pockets of the locals thru video purchases, money spent at shops and in bars, and I know that it would have cost me double this for the same experience elsewhere. It may be the wrong way to look at it, but its ...

It may be the wrong way to look at it, but its how it hits me in my pocket that counts!

But I did hear a ski-instructor having a raging argument with an Irish fella who was trying to jump the lift queues last Friday. He pointed out that a weeks holiday in Bulgaria would cost most people in the UK about £400 per person all in, which is about equal to one weeks average earnings in the. Two days holiday on the slopes for most Bulgarians would cost the equivalent of 8 weeks earnings each.

re: Bulgarian prices

I must admit it would be hard to spend more than 300 pounds. I was out every night but one drinking unhealthy amounts sometimes till six in morning also had a few lapdancers.I also bought 1000 cigs at manchester to take with me good price of 65 pound 1.30 a pack!!!! brought back what I didn't smoke. I ate out every night, ate out for breakfast.I spent about 300 pound theres not many other places in a european ski resort where you could do that.

LOL @ Swifty re AA maybe you are right. When I said virtually on my own I had my partner with me but she only drinks coke and a couple of them last her all night. My daughter who is 5 had about 5 hours of private lessons and a few bags of crisps in between meals. We ate out for 4 nights and every lunchtime. I had a couple of drinks before the family went to bed then hit the town. A couple of taxis a day until they started putting the prices up, a few small bits and bobs for the family. A ...

A couple of 200 ciggy packs and hey presto it was gone.

Must have been the time when I hit the town. ?????? Or as Banknote said the wallet fairies
