Bus from Plovdiv airport to Plovdic city

Does anyone know if there is a regular bu from the airport to Plovdiv? We are staying overnight before travelling to Bansko. That transfer is arranged, but can't find a way, other than taxi, to get to hotel in Plovdiv.

Busses run from the South Terminal on a regular basis and arrive at the bus station in the centre of Plovdiv 40 minutes later.

Sorry Jill - I can't answer that one as I have never used them, but I'm sure the information centre inside the airport will point you in the right direction. I think the fare is just 1 lev.Pete

This timetable is not right. These are buses from Assenovgrad to Plovdiv. The airport is 2km away from the closest bus stop
There are no buses running to the airport, except for Ryanair flights. 30 min after arrival the bus from Assenovgrad comes to the airport and then leaves for Plovdiv. If you are not flying Ryanair, the only option remains a taxi (10-15 BGN). re: Bus from Plovdiv airport to Plovdic city

Some of the hotels in Plovdiv do a free shuttle transfer - could be worth checking.
The bus timetable is the standard Asvenograd to Plovidiv and not all of those buses go past the turning for the airport, or turn into the airport - I use those buses frequently, and they are reliable, but haven't been on one that has gone into the airport.
A taxi from the airport to central Plovdiv will be about 12 lv depending where you go - last time I did this was December, so quite recent. ...

Thanks guys for all your help. Helen - I chose the hotel we are staying at because they advertised the shuttle. When they eventually got back to me - 2 days ago - they said it would cost 140 lev!! Also it needed booking at least a week in advance - we go on Tuesday next! I think it's going to be a taxi for us!re: Bus from Plovdiv airport to Plovdic city
