I am not aware of 'any' cheap places to buy ski's in the UK.

You are on a Bulgarian discussion board, so I take it thet you intend to go to Bulgaria to ski. If this is the case then wait until you get there, as they are about 1/3rd of the price you will pay in the UK.

Skis, bindings, poles and carry bag will set you back about £120 in Bulgaria.

if you are not going to bulgaria then go to one of the ski shows,they sell off last seasons models with some decent discount.

Have a look on ebay. Some really good deals there. Only problem is you got to know what your buying.

I don't get it....I mean who in their right mind would buy a pair of planks when he/she (see, I'm not sexist) can strap a wonderful snowboard to their feet instead.

You could try www.skiwear4less.com some good deals but not as cheap as Bulgaria. Ps ignore Topper we do.
