Is the same message we should be putting out if we are going to advise people where in the World they may have problems with cash points.

Penelope, I am really, really sorry you had this happen to you, but you simply CANNOT advise people not to use a worldwide accepted method of withdrawing cash based on one incident.
Otherwise we would never buy on the internet, or indeed ever use cashpoints anywhere.

FRAUD IS NOT UNIQUE TO BULGARIA!!!!!

You have to accept that you were very unlucky, but the saving grace is that 100% of the time your bank is ALWAYS responsible when this type of fraud happens, and you will be re-embursed in full.

So please, by all means tell us of your unfortunate event that probably ruined your holiday and shattered your illusions of Bulgaria; but to advise people not to use them is going over the top. 14.4 million letters were lost by the GPO last year, but we still use them!!!!!!!!! There are 1.5 million ATM's in Europe, all used almost every minute of every day, so please, get it into perspective.

And please -- come back to Bulgaria

thank you so much paul, your right i wasnt branding anyone atall! my intentions were simply to warn people because all the people who i travelled with used the same cash point and it happened to all of us. im not sure ill bother infoming others next time, get scammed i dont care!

& i am not stupid! i think most people check the machine for anything suspicious. I think 'guest' thinks that it would have been obvious,well it wasnt. if anyone has been insulted its me! as i said his advice was REALLY useful!!!!
