As you may or may not be aware there was an abundance of supposed sightings of this rather elusive creature. (now immortalised on the back of a 100 leva note)These sightings took place particularly in Pamporovo during the very heavy snowfall last week. Indeed one ski group, following the expert advice of their Bulgarian instructor - Peter, were seen to be digging a rather large hole off piste during their hunt. As the well advised will know this is the wrong time of day and the best time to catch one is just after dusk when they rise to the surface to feed. If anyone can confirm any of these sightings please let us know as we have been hunting the Turkish Snowfish for years without any success. lol p+c
Thanks for the info Swifty
But snow worms seem to be even more elusive than the snowfish.
they are alot more vicious aswell, one of our groups daughter was bitten on the leg by one leaving a rather large lump ( possibly leaving eggs !!!!!! ).
