Hi Pavel
Good to hear some honesty coming out of Bulgaria on you reply to Laura's thread. Your comments illustrate what those of us who have been going to Bulgaria for twenty years know. The problem is that every difficulty, bad decision and piece of mis-management is clouded in a mist of mis-information. Galina started a very useful thread on 'What needs to change in Pamporovo' and the comments were spot on. What Bulgarians always appreciated in the past was the value of the customer and that they had to have a great holiday or wouldn't come back. Now the perception is that they don't care. Just give us your money and p*** off! This is particularly true with younger workers in the resort.
The problem is that although many have contributed to Galina, few believe that anyone will listen or that real meaningful change will take place. It appears enivitable, therefore, that Pamporovo is in serious trouble!
The question here to anyone with a love for Pamporovo is CAN ANYTHING TO DONE???
We have been going to Pamporovo for the last five years & loved it. Out again this Sat.
"What needs to change in Pamporovo"
To much now I'm affraid.
Totally agree with everything said & unfortunatly this looks like our last time to Pamps.
Skiing is not cheap, so the minimum you expect is prepared pistes ready for the snow. I mean they get nearly 9 months to get this right.
How has one resort got it so so wrong?
This is the begining of the end for Pamporovo.
Anybody know ...

Anybody know of any small frienldy resorts in the Alps, Italy or Austria?
Heading to Pamporovo again this Saturday as well for my 16th consecutive year. If it doesn't snow it may be my last and I will miss the place BIG TIME. What I willl miss most, however, will be the friends I have made over the past 16 years...those who have been there from the start.
This is my first time and by the sounds of things I should have been out years ago. The other resorts seem to be suffering the same problems but with less complaints due surely to the abundance of snow.
Try Livigno in Italy, we are doing it DIY at much the same cost as Pamps.
Been to Pamps last 3 years and love the place only trying somewhere else to to lack of snow.
Livigno has about 2m at the top and 1m in the village.
It is in its own little valley and has about 115kM of pistes only downside is the transfer which is like Sofia to Pamps!
Also went last minute at new year and loved the place.
