I have already booked a week in Pamporovo (Hotel Belmont). I have just realised that it is far away for the lifts/restaurants/night life. Is there a shuttle bus from the hotel to slopes? What is the nearest restaurant to Belmont? I am coming to Bulgaria on 18/01/2008 - will there be enough snow on green/blue runs?
Your hotel should provide you transport to the slopes. There should be enough cover for you if yo are a beginner, not sure about the more expert runs though, still 2 weeks so there's time for a lot more snow yet.
As for getting to resort on a night time, the hotel may privide a shuttle but it is more likely you'll have to get a taxi in, be sure to negotiate the price before you get in though!

The hotel have 2 buses which can be booked 5min in advance to getting a lift into the town cetre, its 5lev per person & a taxi to come back from the town is 15lev. it is not miles away from anything. the food in the hotel is really good but i would advise you to go to the italian one of the nights as it is really really nice & not at all expensive.
Please tip your instructor if he/she looks after you well, they really do make it a great holiday & they do not receive a lot of wages.
Hope you have a great time & i'd recommend you book in for a massage at the hotel spa as its the business & half the price compared to at home..
We've visited Hotel Belmont a few times on 3 separate visits when we stayed at Cedar Heights (a short walk up the hill from the Belmont.) The hotel is close enough to Studenets ski area so dont worry about that. The massage's are great value - we treat ourselves every time we visit -like Jen said they are half the price of treatments over here. You'll have a great holiday!
