Car Hire

Can anyone recommend a reliable car hire company at Sofia airport. I have found different companies on the net that all sound reasonably good but a personal recommendation from someone that has used the service would be good.

We always use Sikon - you should find them if you Google it. Always on time any problems with the car they sort it straight away can't fault them.

re: Car Hire

Monty, my friend Danny (Yordanka) owns a car hire company in sofia. Her rates are great and if you contact her, tell her she was recommended by Steff, you might get a bit of a discount ! Her email is [email protected] and her website is www.hiremycarbg.com. I have have had personal use of three of her cars and all are great. she will meet you at the airport for you to collect and she will meet you again on your return home to drop the car off. She is a lovely girl, give her a shout.

Sikon will also offer a 7% discount if you mention BGSKI. After 3 times the discount become 10%.

re: Car Hire

I used Sikon this summer after finding recommendations on this site. Cheap rates, and the handover was what I can only describe as 'comforting' with none of the drastic warnings to do this and don't do that, you often get with larger rental firms. They are on hand 24/7 if you run into problems, and also promise to assist should you be unfortunate to have a prang (other firms will simply tell you to call the police - I wouldn't fancy having to sort a crash out with the expected language ...

Cheers

re: Car Hire

Monty, you didn't say where you are going to. If it is Pamporovo, my friend Jordan runs a car hire/airport transport service with a difference. He will pick you up at Sofia, drive you up to Pamps, leave a hire car with you for the duration of your holiday and then drive you back to Sofia on your departure. His prices are very competitive.

If you are interested email me.
