Allo!!Does anybody have any idea about the safety of our cars parked inside the town of Bansko? We're coming next week and they told us that we can park our cars outside the Hotel,it's ok.Is it really safe or should we search for a closed parking to rent?Do they steal cars often there?
Same as anywhere - if you are daft enough to leave something on show then some light fingered tealeaf will take it ( and it will probably be a tourist!!) I had no problem with a Nissan Patrol I had there but then I kept everything out of sight.
Thanks Mat!!You really comforted me now Personally I believe that it's the same wherever you go in Europe..but on the net they're saying things like ''be carefull of your cars and things''..and they got me scared a little bit.Is Bansko safer than Sofia?Because it's touristic place,is it more common to steal cars or not?
To be honest, car theft is less of an issue than it used to be. Unless like me you have a car in demand for cloning or spares - two A4's and one brand new A6 so far, and counting.
shouldnt think its any different to anywhere else just keep it locked and everything out of sight. I have had mine broken into three times in the uk nothing on show though.
I left my car in Bansko last year, as I pulled up to the curb a little kid shouted " Oi Bumski give me 100 lev and I will make sure nothing happens to your car. To which I replied " its okay little boy I have a pit bull in the car nothing will happen with him in there, as quick as a flash he shouted back " oh puts out fires does he" Thank you, thank you I'm here till the new year, try the turkey.
Onmybumski, that has just had me in bits in the office laffing my head off, people just looking at me!!! but god that's a good one.. Sounds a lot like liverpool does bansko!!! just genius, funiest thing I have read in a long long time.
