Carvers in Bansko?

Does anyone who has been out to Bansko this year know if the ski's and boots on hire are new and if it is possible to hire carvers instead?

I just got back from Borovets and I can safely say that every pair of hire boots I saw were pretty ropey (I was very glad I had my own) as for the Skis they varied alot from some Atomic carvers to absolutely awful skis that were worse than terrible.

Always best to have your own boots I'd say.

Hornster,

I was in Bansko last year and ALL the skis were brand new Saloman carvers (all the boots were new too).

I would not be too concerned about it if I were you, I would be amazed if the gear was not in very good condition.

(by the way the gear in Borovets is always ropey but this resort is run by different people)

Ah, cheers for that Bonzo. Just what I needed to know. Good thing I chose Bansko this year and I also forgot that the resorts are independently owned as opposed to government owned.
