Cash in Borovets

Lots of posts saying the cash machines in Borovets are not accepting the new chip and pin cards is this right? If so is there any other means of getting cash? Is there a bank in Borovets? I can't remember seeing one last year but I wasn't really looking for one, we used the cashpoints in the Rila lobby with no problem.

Is it possible to get cash on your card from the Rila hotel reception.

Bank in the Samokov hotel I know that!, other recent posts may answer this for you, or those having just returned.

We had big problems getting cash out in Boro. My chip and pin card would not work anywhere in Boro but my savings account card worked fine ( not chip and pin) Lots of people had this problem so I would recommend that you take plenty of cash - however you can get cash at the many change booths as long as you take your passport and a visa card, you will pay some commission/charges but if you run out of cash it's an option.
