Please be very careful when using the cashpoint machines in Bansko.
There has recently been a case of peoples cashpoint cards being cloned and then used in Sofia. So far it has just been the UBB bank cashpoint machine that has been targeted. The 2 people concerned have had £2000 and £3500 taken out of their accounts, the police are aware of this and are investigating.
They are informing people that use these machines to cover the keypad when inputting their PIN number so if there is ...

They are informing people that use these machines to cover the keypad when inputting their PIN number so if there is a camera somewhere watching it will not be able to see what you type in. The slot that the card goes into should be flush with the rest of the machine and not sticking out at all, if you are unsure then don't use the machine.
It's as per all around the world - not unique to Bulgaria - be careful out there
