Sometimes BG is astounding, they tell you things will take so many weeks, and then being pessimistic we add a few more weeks, and then out of the blue....someone turns up for work and bobs your aunties gran,....well something likie that. What am i wittering on about?? permission granted to change roof.....and double quick time as well yee hay....just got to wait for the rain to stop now so flight booked for the 21st to see how were getting on and more importantly what we are actually going to put in the chalet, any ideas greatfully received.
have also stumbled on a dirt cheap flight, Alitalia ok it involves a stop milan on the way out rome on the way back, but £129 return, bargain, you can even make the rome stop a whole day, so i say BA pull your finger out and get some cheaper flights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Next thing is to buy all the fittings, showers basins etc etc..........oh and we still have the problem with the two range cookers!!!!!!!!
on a lighter side ive been offered a huntng trip as a thank you for the tables and chairs...................... ...........not sure whats being hunted could be the long lost guiness tribe........oh the trouble we have to go to

Thanks for the postings. I bought a house on a hill in Zlokuchane village (Just up behind Samokov) and it needs some work doing. It's good to hear that there's someone else struggling through the same process. I'll be getting the company that I bought the house through arrange a builder for me though (I'm such a coward!) and money is so tight that I'll have to be doing stuff bit by bit.
Your infostories about the process are just the inspiration I need. Hope all goes well with the decorating.

I think in the interest of comfort the range cookers are going to have to go Fraser.

At least when you're there you'll be able to kick a few butts into action or alternatively do it yourself - find that usually works in our house!

Hopefully the weather will be good by the 21st, just right for hunting whatever it is they hunt on them there Rila Hills. Remember the King has his hunting lodge just up the mountain so you may be asked in for tea and cakes.

Talking of tea and cakes is that going to be on your chalet menu? Could swing the balance of do we come or don't we for some people!!

Another couple I know are currently in the process of buying a place about 30 km out from Borovets. Their first place fell through after the seller pulled out. Prices there seem to be hurtling up.

I bought my place in November through easyBG(Properties in Bulgaria). I'm going out there this weekend to measure up the house and meet their builder. Then I will find out exactly how much I can afford to have done! First priority is a bathroom
