Hi,
I am new to the forum, but thought I would join as i have got a group of 20 of us coming early March from Essex and London - cannot flippin wait!
Anyhow we are staying at the following place, which is a bit out from the main centre, we are getting shuttles to and from the place:

Has anyone else stayed there?
We have the option to buy ski passes and lesson etc. through the chalet company - is that the best idea or ...

i am staying at chamkoria chalets at the moment. we really like the place. this is my third time to Borovets and the standard of accomodation at chamkoria chalets is by far the best I have seen.
the complex is on the edge of Borovets but they provide a shuttle bus to the resort pretty much all the time. we have stayed in the centre the other 2 times but much prefer this place.
We bought our passes and ski gear through chamkoria chalets and the prices seem to be the same as ...

On the first day they bought us to the ski depot and showed us around so that was handy. The skiing at the moment is not great but we are enjoying the holiday anyway. Yesterday we just stayed in the chalet with the fire going and watched dvds and sipped a few beers. it was great.
I would recommend the chalets for sure. they are a bit out of town but you really feel like you are in the mountains. the place is a lot more classy than the center of Borovets. the food in the bistro is pretty good too and very reasonable. They will deliver the food to your chalet if you want. beers are around 3lev in the bistro I think and cheaper if you buy them in the shop at reception.

I was getting a little worried because I have booked for a big group of us to go in March - and couldn't find any reviews on the place, so your feedback makes me feel a lot better!
Any places you recommend for a night out or for Apres Ski?

Has anyone stayed in those "new build" chalets at Chamkoria?? As opposed to the apartments.. If so, what are they like?Cheers all!!

the new complex is great. we are the owners of one of the chalets and are really pleased with them.
4 bedrooms 3 bathrooms and a top floor open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room. the balconies and views are spectacular.
yes they are about 10 mins from borovets by car but it depends what you are looking for.
we have a nice peaceful location with spectacular views of the mountain, the best of this standard accomadation by far in borovets with great facilities including pool, ...
