re: Chamkoria appartments

Hi Steve,

It is a nice complex, quite new and everything is done really nicely. The only problem you have is it is quite away out (you need transport) and access is pretty poor, especially in this snow - eg: only 4 x 4's can get there - a minibus tried to get there to pick people up to take to samokov, but gave up!! Are you driving or are you using the resort transport? If the latter you should be fine as they should have a 4 x 4 for the shuttles etc.

K

Yep - absolutely fine. Not sure how old they are, but there is a den upstairs for the younger ones - very small and more the younger ones - ie: up to about 11 / 12, but nice for them to chill out and watch dvd's.

If we don;t see you, there's lots of other great places to go, so enjoy your time in Borovets!

re: Chamkoria appartments

No worries and like I said, although it is a bit far out, the accommodation is really good and one of the nicer places to stay if you're not fussed about being in the resort itself.

p.s. One of the places I recommend for a good bar atmosphere is Franco's, but with the little ones you probably want to avoid this as it's pretty lound and they still smoke in there. You also may want to avoid BJ's, but green King, mamacitas (before the band starts), titanic, blue, happy duck etc are all ...

Hi Steve,
Been to Chamkoria several times. We actually own a chalet there. As Kas said its a little out of centre of resort (about 10 mins)but you will be ok with the shuttle transfer into resort for skiing. The complex is of a really high standard and I am sure you will get a great service from the staff in the complex. There is a really nice Spa area and the small bar and bistro are great.

The road has been particularly challenging this year but there has been exceptional snowfall!! The municipality are also a bit slow at clearing these roads so the complex are looking into the possibilities of getting a private contractor to do it.
If the snow stops falling( which it has to do at some point) you will be absolutely fine. Have a great holiday.
