anyone know the best place to do this as it seems some places have better rates that others

go see the guy in little venice,(has chicken and lamb spit outside),he will give you a bit above best rates,changes any amount,no commission.Opp Rila.

If you use any change booths, just do £10 on first visit. This way you can see what rate you are getting as opposed to what rate the claim to give.

Best rate I found last week in Borovets was 2.73 Lev to the pound. Crown Exchange, although some others offered the same. Worst was 2.28. I just asked if I give you £100 how many Levs will you give me.

Seems best way to get cash is with a Nationwide Flex account card from the ATM. The ATM's limit you to 200 Lev per day.
