Charlotte

I have heard due to the hygiene problems and poverty in Bulgaria jabs are reccommemnded.

Is this the case and if so which ones?

Thank you.

re: Charlotte

Sorry Charlotte, no you will not need jabs unless like the UK you get bitten by a dog or cat or something (rabies ???). If you think poverty is a problem, you should see the number of BMW X5 and landcruisers driving around...
You should have no worries... If your tetnes is up to date you should be ok...

Been to Bulgaria over 20 times, never had a jab (except my insulin) and never had a problem.

Just come back and didn't see any signs of poverty or hygeine problems in Bansko. Even the dogs look well fed and are people friendly. A beautiful huskie came and sat with me at lunchtime on the slopes one day. More gentle than my own dog!!

I have lived in Bansko for 6 months and apart from being tired for the first couple of days (adapting to the altitude, I guess) have survived the winter without any illness, had no injections before I moved over (I even drink the tap water)

Stop worrying and enjoy your holiday!!!!

re: Charlotte

Hi Charlotte, we went to bulgaria and called into our docs just to check if we needed any injections, Tetnus was one and cant remember the other, but check with your surgery and they will advice, we did not have to pay for these, better to be safe.
