Cheap drinks??

Ive been told a beer is about 80p. Is that in the resort or would you have to trek out to the "locals"
In other words, what is the average price for a beer/glass of wine...for the lady in the main bars that are easy to access (in Boro)

Me and hubby were there last year. He's a beer drinker - wine for me. A round in our hotel cost about £2 - no kidding!! You can't help but drink the stuff!

re: Cheap drinks??

just an added note - on Balkan planes, the little bottles of wine from the drinks trolley were less than HALF what the other airlines charge!

Hotels are dirt cheap booze wise... £0.50 a pint

in the bars it starts to go up a bit... £1 - £2.50

re: Cheap drinks??

My wife and her sis are wine drinkers and it was cheaper to buy a good bottle of house than buy it by the glass, needless to say they were merry most nights.

Spirits are good too, I asked for a Jack and Coke and got a treble JD + full can of coca cola for the equivalent of £1.20, very happy times Razz.

A word of warning, you are better off going to the bar yourself in the Rila as the waitresses often "Don't have change" so if you pay with a large note you leave a hefty tip.

I agree ...

I agree with the Blakans flight comment too (Lizzisnow) we got a pint bottle of beer for about £1, I thought they had made a mistake at first but that was the right price!
