£185 seems a bit pricey! Living in Edinburgh, we've flown from Manchester a few times - loath it - always been an hour waiting for the luggage, also the time it takes to drive there, cost of petrol, car parking and traffic jams. It'll be a lot easier and possible cheaper flying from Aberdeen via Heathrow. Only drawback is an early flight which means a hotel overnight, but does mean plenty of time to get to hotel and get lift pass etc sorted.

Wizzair from luton is about half the price. Cost v convenience.

Balkan fly from Edinburgh & you get a full luggage allowance

If there is snow, they keep some or all of the mountain open. But its a good point - very late in the season.

Following earlier post, have just booked with Balkan Air - they have some last minute deals - in March it's £199 - might come down. Booked for end of this month - £156 incl supplement. Has to beat slog and cost to Manchester or London. Watch credit card charges though!!

Have you checked the prices for flights with easyjet to Thessaloniki?
Payed for 2 from berlin to Thessaloniki, back from sofia via Mailand, so 6 flights with baggage 138€.
