Cheapest lift pass in the world

Doing some research for this article ... and thought of a guessing game.

OK, one of the highest resorts in the world (well, in the top 40) has a lift pass that works out at around a tenner ... for a week! Can you guess where?

Dizin in Iran ... although there's probably a bloke in the Himalayas with a rope and a tractor on its side who'll manage to under cut them

I wonder if you calculate the price of the lift pass per kilometer of piste - how they all compare. Would be an interesting exercise.

re: Cheapest lift pass in the world

Not sure how price per km is useful. This would only be a fair comparison if each area was limited to the same number of people using it.
However a large area is used by more people, hence the more revenue from passes.
Also - it's not directly proportional in terms of value to the skiers. Let's say I'm happy to pay £40 for an area that covers 100km of pistes. That doesn't mean I'd pay £400 for an area covering 1000km!

Snow White,

Perhaps that's not such a daft idea. If the information also includes the extent as Mattsville suggests then it may be helpful.

& can you believe it? There's a website called skipasscompare.com
