Chepelare

Anybody out there know a little bit about Chepelare?

Mostly interested whether a lift pass covers both Pamporovo and Chepelare, or do we need to buy two seperate passes?

What are the piste/runs like in Chepelare? we are advanced level.

How much time between the resorts on bus?

Are there any taverns in Chepelare?

Many thanks

re: Chepelare

Chepalare is situated approx. 10km from Pamporovo. Bus will take about 20 minutes from Pamps. The ski area is mainly used by locals and is much smaller and quieter than Pamps. It hosts the longest black run in Bulgaria and the skiing there for advanced skiers is fantastic. There are a couple of cafes on the slopes and a rather small cafe at the base but thats all. The town has some great bars and the atmosphere is very laid back.

You will need seperate lift passes, and a day pass at Chepalare can be purchased at the kiosk by the main chairlift for approx. £10 all day.

We always have at least 1 day there every year, and it is a fabulous day out.

Downsides?
None really except the resort is served by just 1 x 2 man chairlift that takes about 30 minutes to the top.

I would certainly recommend you try it, but go with someone who knows the slopes or you may get lost!!!
