It's a quiet Bulgarian town where a lot of locals live. Your find it a lot cheaper than Pamporovo and the mountain a lot quieter. In my opinion it is a better place to stay.
We had a great day there this time last year when Pamps was a bit thin on snow.
The Red/black run '1' was excellent fun.
There was a very nice place for beer and food at the top of the lift, left hand side just at the end of the learners area, before the main piste started
Well worth a visit - and if you are not up to the challenge of the Black run there is a long winding blue run that takes you around the mountain, but you really need to ski it with someone who knows the run as it's easy to get lost on it.
