Cigarettes?

We are going to Borovets on 24th Feb, and are first timers......looking forward to it.

I have enjoyed reading the comments on the board, and most of our questions have been answered already. However, can I ask, as a smoker. I am wondering, do I buy my ciggies Duty Free, or are they cheaper out there????

Silly question I know, and a filthy habit....but can anyone shed any light?

Cheers

re: Cigarettes?

No duty free now 'cos of the E.U. -- You can't buy fags at the airport on the way home. i got caught out last week. The best thing to do is to buy the bulgarian 'Victory' fags- they come in different strengths. The general feeling is NOT to buy from the guys on the street as these are probably FAKE and made of camel p**.

"same for spirts not allowed some silly rule they have all wrong because it should be free trade now"

The 'silly rule' about liquids is an EU-wide anti-terrorism security measure, nothing to do with Bulgaria itself.

As far as cigarettes are concerned, the limit is 200 and it's a "same for spirts not allowed some silly rule they have all wrong because it should be free trade now"

As far as cigarettes are concerned, the limit is 200 and it's a UK Customs ruling.

re: Cigarettes?

You cannot buy any in the departure lounges as your boarding card will show you are going to Bulgaria, and no cigarettes are allowed in except for the current ones you have on you. No cigarettes sold on planes either.

If you buy in resort, buy Victory which are available in several strengths and are fine. ALL branded cigarettes such as Bensons or Lambert & Butler are fakes and are absolutely dreadful even though the packets may look authentic.
