Clothing Help

Going out to Boro on Saturday, but really don't know what to wear during the day. Base Layer underneath but then what on top? Friends have said a footie shirt? Anyone recommend anything?

re: Clothing Help

Footie shirt would prob do as a base layer then layer over the top depending on how cold it is and how hard you are going to work!! We went first time last year and wore base layer + fleece + ski jacket most days (it was cold) my daughter also wore a rolll neck some days! Dont forget thermal layer for legs, ski socks ski gloves a hat and either glasses or goggles
Plenty of previous posts have other essentials
Have a great time

Yes it is a welsh name but I am not although my nephew married a welsh lass. Have to say I think as you get better you wear lsee but as beginners last year we def needed the layers. It is a fantastic hol if boro is anything like pamps you will have great instructors enjoy the hot chac and brandy! Leave some snow for the 10th I cant wait.......

re: Clothing Help

as long as you wear thermal long johns, tee shirt , fleece or polo neck, thermal ski socks , then your ski suite and hat you should be nice and warm, if you get to warm you can always take jacket off.

we are going to boro on sunday staying at samokov guess what ? cannot wait only 7 more sleeps

re: Clothing Help

Alot depends on individuals. Last Feb I needed base thermals (top and bottoms), roll neck sweater, fleece mid layer and ski jacket and salopettes on top. I also had neck warmer, hat, wool socks and lined gloves. My hubby just had thermal base layer, jacket and salop-ettes, hat and gloves. as Jules says, you can always take some layer off if you're too warm

re: Clothing Help

definitely wear layers as they can be always be taken off if you get too hot. I wear thermal top and bottom (cheap from aldi), fleece top, then ski suit. Also ski socks, neck warmer, gloves hat and goggles.

I haven't really needed to take layers off before because I spend most of the time falling over and it has always been bitter cold, but if the temperatures were as warm as last week I'm sure I would have left some off.
