Cold - Pamps

Last year in Pamps (end of March) we ate lunch outside everyday, and didn't really need many layers of clothing. Can anyone who's just come back tell me just how cold it is there at the moment ?

Flying on saturday from East Midlands

Really wanted to know if it was warm enough to sit outside. Still, can find out when I get there.

Are you flying with Balkan - we leave 1330 as well, hoping to meet the Bristol Flight at Plovdiv cos my mate and her brother are coming in on that one.

Maccam, I was there 2 weeks back, and not one day was warm enough to sit outside, cold winds and drifting snow was the order of every day!

Oh well, at least I won't end up looking like a sunburned panda like last year then !!

Thanks for the comments.

Start inside, have a few chocco brandies, then take all your clothes off and go outside and have your lunch Booze

re: Cold - Pamps

Early March 2003 I got pretty bad sunburn in Pamps (my first year, did'nt think to bring sun cream!) last year it was cooler and not as sunny, this suits me because I'm not a lover of the sun anyway.
It did became tricky skiing the upper runs during last year due to the heavy mist/snow falling, but it added to the fun in a way. If it happens to you, wear gogles with a lighter filter so you can see better, it will make negotiating the turns easier (thats if your not that good in the first ...

The only real discomfort I found with the weather was frezzing my plums off on the ski lift on the way up first thing in the morning. Thats to be expected I suppose! Smile
