Conditions and safety in Borovets

There seem to be quite a few horror stories about poor conditions, accidents and fatalities in Borovets. I'm headed out there on Feb 18th and rather than being excited am beginning to feel a little anxious. Are things really so bad?

No they are not that bad. If you hear 500 good reports and one bad report, which one will get sensationalized?
It will always be the bad reports you hear about. re: Conditions and safety in Borovets

Accidents happen everywhere, don't worry yourself too much. Borovets is a wonderful resort and is no more unsafe than many of the larger resorts. I've been twice and loved every minute....

You'll have a great time, don't worry!

Best nightlife in Buzz bar & black tiger for Karoaki if thats your thing - ...

re: Conditions and safety in Borovets

Christo is the best!!
Injuries happen after midweek as learners go out onto slopes on their own when they have just learnt enough from instructors to "THINK" they can ski.
Unfortunately they then ski beyond their ability with obvious results. Slopes above beginners can be icy and difficult for competent skiers, let alone newly learnts.
You can lose control in less than a few seconds, so be careful and above all, take it easy!!
