I've been reading this site for some time but not posted.
I don't post simply for the reason that PP and his mates always know best.
I've skied Pamporovo several times and know the place and have very good friends there.
My question to you PP is:
Who do you think you are putting people down in that way, and its not the first time.
Think you need to re-evaluate why you respond to posts, is it for your own gratification or actually to help others?
I usually agree with you but I discovered last week that prices had become an issue. Pamporovo's main problem was and is the lack of snow and certainty re snow. It needs to ATTRACT tourists so consistent pricing perceived as being cheaper is important.
By buying Bulgarian food and drink you're on a winner, Pamporovo remains class!! People just need to know and be reassured in advance so lets sort out the prices and use it as a feature to attract tourists. ie 10 lev for a meal ...

sorry paul, cant remember the name. dont think it had one, but as you come to the bottom of that part of the run there's a ski school shed on the right after the big buildings and a ski school attatched to a wee place with benches out the front on your left.
good food and value, cant really miss it. I found the sm,aller less fancy lookin places were usually cheaper, more friendly and better quality. and as arron said, buy the local produce. of course imports are going to be more expensive.

We are siiting having a large beer (3 lev) in the very same restaurant / bar that you are talking about. It is called Restaurant Rossignol and is run by a fab guy called Gregor who invited us to his party last night and evenbought us some beers before he cracked out his homemade Rakia. Everyone seems to be going on about outrageous prices, we certainly haven't found this to be true as 3 lev is the most we have paid for a large beer. Snow is fab even though a few runs aren't open ...

Restaurant is at Studenets on the left at the bottom of the green run.
We did the 2 new blue runs which are brill, they split about half way down, left is a very gentle long glide, right is a bit steeper. Does get very slushy towards the bottom at the moment though. Didnt do the red as it wasnt pisted but some people are doing it
