Costs

Hello All,
We are looking at going skiing this feb half term and are going to book things seperate to keep the costs down. Therefore i have been wondering what the individual costs are for the following....

Ski Pass (Bansko or Borovets)
Ski and Boot Hire
Ski Instruction
Beer

Thanks in advance for all your help
Lord William

Hi Lord William,

It's not always cheaper when you book things separate. We have booked through First Choice, and at that time the 4* Perun (half board) was only £340 approx, and the whole packge you mentioned minus the beer was and still is I think, just £108.00. To confirm, this is for 6 day Pass, Ski & boot hire, and ski instruction 4 hrs daily.

re: Costs

Book the full package (even if you have your own skis etc) and it will always be cheaper. Trust me.

re: Costs

Hornster,

I beg to differ. If you are travelling at peak times it is far cheaper to book independently. As long as .........

1) You book your flights early
2) You get a good deal on accomodation.

Example :- Bansko 10 - 17th March Flights £73
Transfer approx £ 30 per head rtn accomodation in a spacious apartment approx £60 or less per head = £163.00... OK ski packs are more expensive when you get there but the savings have already been made. 6 day lift pass in Bansko last year ...

The only price that changes in school hols is the flights but book early and it works out far far cheaper than a package tour.

This website has some good deals on apartments.

re: Costs

Totally agree Dave, did it in Feb at half term and saved a load of cash. By the way Bikergirl, is the price you got for a beginners package cos with First Choice if you are not a complete beginner it works out at around £200 to hire skis etc.
