Hi,
I've been having a look through the forum and have not found much at all on cross country skiing. I'm due to visit Borovets in late February and have booked my hotel accommodation and flights etc but have not organised my skiing. I've never skiied before and will be visiting with my boyfriend who has skied several times before. I am hoping to do cross country skiing rather than down hill. I have been looking on the web but can't find any details about cross country ski lessons, hiring gear or even crossc country touring in Borovets. I know that there are cross country tracks but would be grateful if anyone could give me some more information.
I won't be much help but rather than ignore you. There are a few km of cross country tracks. I have seen a number of people using them. You won't need a lift pass They even have a part man made course with bridges and so on. I would have thought that you can hire the kit out there although i've not seen any. As for lessons I wouldn't have a clue.
Why don't you mail one of the hire shops or schools and they may be able to point you in the right direction if they themselves can't help
If you check the pist map of Borovez, you can find some cross country pistes starting aroun the gondola station, but not sure if they are prepaired, may be Kaz or Bobby can if you exact information about this.
