Just a thought, the welcome meeting that crystal ski do, is a complete joke, I mean they don't tell you anything remotely useful about the resort or where to find the lifts etc. it is just a ruse for them to sell you their rip -off trips and make you feel that only they can organise your ski hire / tuition etc. My advice would be to sort everything yourself, the ski pass you can buy from the kiosks, and there are loads of ski hire shops, the one that Crystal oblige you to use, NEVER !!! ...

I never saw them adjusting even one pair of skis. Luckily I took my own.
We just came back from pamporovo we pre-booked the learn to board package inc lift pass and equipment hire for £104, a guy in our group lost his lift pass at the beginning of the week and it cost him £100 for a new one, so I would recommend pre-booking.
When i went to Borovets last year the Crystal reps were first class and very helpful. ALL travel companies will try to sell you excursions, it makes up a large percentage of a reps earnings. The reps themselves do not make up these excursions or trips or do they personally select which ski rental place they will use. The head honchos at Crystal decide this and the reps have to follow orders regardless of how good or bad those orders maybe. Don't smite the reps as i am sure most of them do ...

Write to crystal and tell them you were unhappy with the services offered. This is the only way things will get changed if enough people complain to the ones responsible. If things are as bad as you say there then i am sure the reps would welcome the changes to as they are the ones who have to deal with unhappy holiday makers and the complaints.
We went with crystal and to be honest the reps wern't much help, especially towards the end of the holiday when we were waiting for our coach we got forgotten, there was total lack of communication. We must of seen only 1 rep all week!
