Currency in Bulgaria

Hi,

My fiancee and myself are off to Bulgaria on Sunday.
I've been told that I should take cash out there as rates on travellers cheques aren't good.
What currency should I take to change to Levs. One friend says Euros and another Sterling. Which is best?

Any other money advice?

Thanks,
CK.

re: Currency in Bulgaria

GBP Sterling - take this currency ... also in economic terms the pound is so very strong, so get more for your money

Why change Sterling into €uro's when sterling is accepted

Hi

Take pounds sterling. Travelers cheques can be charged high comissions when changed. Take new notes, with no pem markings on them etc

Got back last Saturday, use the ATMs best rates and no chance of being riped off

re: Currency in Bulgaria

It depends on where you are departing from, if mainland Europe or Ireland take Euro, if Britain take Sterling.
