Currency

i ahve been checking for snow over the last few days i am going to borevets for christmas i hope it snows.
well i am wondering wat currency to bring im from england but it says u can bring jsut about anythign wat would u recomend (conseidering the £1 = $1. i just really need to no wat currency is the most common.

Why are you worried about the Dollar you are going to Bulgaria not the USA Try taking the local currency the Lev you might find that a tad more useful. Or take sterling and change in resort.

We've always taken sterling Olly. They used to say that the Bulgarian Lev wasn't available outside of Bulgaria itself - in fact it was illegal to take it out of the country, but I think that has changed.

If you bring dollars you will probably already have paid a commission. Then another in the resort. Best to bring sterling - notes which are clean, undefaced and intact. You can also withdrawn in resort from a cash machine - useful if you're with the nationwide who don't charge for withrawals abroad.

Travellers cheques are a hassle and the exchange rate is poorer. When you're in Boro look for a bald Scotsman with a poor skiing style and you can treat me to a pint for the info.
