Currency?

Hello everyone,

I know that the question has been asked a billion times before but what currency am I best to take?

I've been to Bulgaria a few times & always taken levs however the post office are advising that I take the US dollar???

Some clear clarification would be most helpful!

Also, where are most people exchanging their money for the (as can be) best deal? Have used the post office & marks & spencer in the past.

Thanks in advance Smile

re: Currency?

nationwide flexi card and atms is the best. I do not know where the post office got dollars from ? people will take them but at a useless rate.

Unless you hold other currencies change pounds to leva.I think you get a better exchange rate here. But with dear Gordon Brown, you might be better to change up early. You get 2.02 here today but it seems to go down every day.

Well I know the Yanks! Think they rule the world but as for as i know they haven't made Bulgaria a member state yet they're still busy tkaing over the UK. so best take Lev. There are several Forex exchange in Pams where the rate is as good as any and last year was better than at home.

re: Currency?

Good grief go back to the post office and tell the person that they are a first class pillock and should not be dishing out crap advice. This stems from the early eighties and commie times.
