At last I can give you a running balance of money forwarded to me to help the Orphans of Stokite.
So far, you have helped to raise a terrific £332
Thank-you so very very much..... but we still need more.
Also, it would be a great help if you could send sterling or cheques from now on rather than foreign currency. Many of the notes sent were no longer accepted by the bank as they had been replaced by the Euro, and other were of such low value the banks simply refused to change ...

It would be fantastic if we could get to £500 by March so thanks a million once again - but PLEASE if you have not already donated, spare a little something that will make a huge difference.

PP Thats fantastic, will levs be no good now ? what about euros

Levs will be fine as will Euros. But not Schillings or Lira or Pisatos or Francs or Escudos etc.Really disappointed but the bank says they are no longer legal tender.

Hi Pete,Could you let me know a bit about the orphanage you are helping and where it is etc. How did you find it. What are the conditions like for the children there, how they come to be there etc. Also what are you trying to achieve for those kids.
I used to be a press photographer and i'm just wondering whether there may be a story there which may also get you some publicity and some extra donations.

lucythere is a web site you will need to do a search or have a look on the skidvd site pete has set up alink on one of his post think the post is called banknotes banknotes, they are trying to raise 30,000 euros to install heating, there is none at the mo and the temp in the building is -5 also they need clothes and other basic things
