Dammed Rain Set Pamps Back Again

Last night snow turned to rain and has undone a lot of the good work the earlier snow and cannons had accomplished. More snow is due later in the week but for now it's looking a bit sparce again.

It's still raining in Pamps and it's normal for early January. Let's hope that we will have some snow in February so we can get some skiing.
High hopes.

BTW, when will start the ski season in Pamps this year?

In August Raining in early January is not normal at all. It is actually exactly late December/early January that you are supposed to get the most snow. Second best month is March and February is the driest month in Bulgaria. Pamporovo doesn't get any decent snow anymore. There have been no more than 40 decent skiing days there for the past 3 seasons. And it used to be the most snow-sure place in BG in the 80ies...

Will we be able to ski at all? Our first time to Pamporovo. We've been to Austria the last few years and it's snowing bucket loads there. Very worried I'll be blamed for changing from our usual destination!

Hey Pete the forecast for the next 2 weeks allover central and southeastern europe is ice cold. Burgas is forecast for the time I will be there -12 °C. Thessaloniki last year the 17.01. I had +15°C, this year it should freeze too.

So head up the snow will arrive just a little bit late

Don't worry t-trippin, it's not sure if you'll be able to ski at all, but you can bet on the bars and restaurants in Pamps. If the snow is not enough, you can always go to the bars and drunk all the day and night, like the great part of the Pamps tourists.
