So after a comfy nights sleep on the nice soft beds with the lumpy pillows. Well apart from being woken up at 3am be the maid hovering! Yes hovering the landing at 3am!! You have got to be joking I thought their was I worrying about being kept awake by loud music/ noisy drunks but know it was the mad maid every bloody night at 3am! Why in God's name why?

Anyway where was I? Oh yes Sunday 14th March. I jumped all to excitedly out of bed and yanked the curtain open, to feest my eyes on that glorious snow and a lovely blue sky. Dragged Lou out of bed and went down for breakfast. Came back upstairs again put on clothes and this time they let me in the restaurant! Naked Dan not nice site first thing some germans where yelling Bear! Bear!

Well Breakfast is pretty good. Loads of choice cereals, breads, pastries, fruit ,fried eggs, sausages not bad at all just as I had remembered. Oh just a point here we used to get down for brekkie at 8.30ish and if you where in a group like us it was pretty hard finding a table together(see previous posting for explanation)and if you are not careful you might have to share with the Germans!

It was then I spotted him bald bloke, goattee, ring through nose could it be Carl? Yes indeed it was! How could you miss him! Lovely bloke and a mad but lovely wife two of lifes genuine people what you see is what you get very friendly and it was nice to put a face to the name.

Anyway it was now time to go back upstairs and change into our Ski gear. First problem oh what do we wear? You see Louise feels the cold terribly even when we went to Florida in June and it was in the 90s she was still cold! Get the picture? Cold + Louise= Misery for Dan!! Oh well she put her thermals on and I put my T shirt and jumper on and then she put her hat on. At this I fell about laughing! See Lou was 23 on March the 14th I am 31 yes I know hey I like em younger than me. The problem is Lou has a young face and with her hat on she looks about 12!!! Suddenly stopped laughing and become worried everyone would think I am her dad! Cue louise's turn to laugh! Anyway went next door and got Bev and Chris (more Laughter) and made our way down to reception where all of the Inghams group was to meet to recieve our lift passes and ski vouchers from the rep Maria.

Because there was so few of us this was all rather quick. But I was amazed at the number of people that had not pre booked the pass. Note to all people that read this PRE-BOOK YOUR LIFT PASS AND SKI HIRE one poor girl nearly fell of her chair when she was told it was £190 for the pass. " But in your brochure it says lift pass £90" She protested "Yes said the rep pre-booked! What a doughnut!

When we had all got our passes the rep led us out of the hotel and to the right up the road a bit. It would seem the bus now does not stop outside the hotel, but well right and up the road a bit!!! So of we went to Malina ski depot. I must say Inghams are very organised I have always traveled with Balken Holidays before but did not fancy taking a chance on them dodgy planes again. And with them the rep gives you your passes at breakfast and you are left to make your own way to the depot and face a long wait at the depot. A bit scary if it is your first time skiing. But none of this with Inghams we where all put on the bus together and our rep escorted us to get out ski's.

We formed an orderly line and boarders went in first then the skiers in small groups to be fitted. Inghams have a much smaller locker than Balken but this is ok as you dont have to put your ski's away at night or try and find them in the morning you just give them you number wich they very cleverly write for you on you lift pass for you and the nice man puts them away each night! Joy!
