Decent snow in Bansko

Have they had any decent snowfall in Bansko recently, it seems like ages since they've had a decent dump. I'm going in just over a week and are hoping for a nice spread just before I arrive.

Anyone there can give me an update, greatly appreciated.

There is loads of snow in Bansko. I was there last week and it snowed every day apart from Wednesday. I would have preferred some more sunny days but it didn't happen.

Its powder powder all the way there at the moment. Only problem is it makes the bottom of the ski road very heavy and slow.

Cool, thanks Val! That's exactly what I want to hear! Is the depth on the Bansko Ski website accurate, doesn't seem to have been updated for ages.

Where can I get an accurate depth from?

I don't know I'm afraid but I really wouldn't worry. A friend was out there at the same time, went off piste through the trees and fell into a dip and was completed buried in snow.

Basically it started snowing the night of Sat 4 Feb and didn't stop until Tuesday afternoon, then came back on Thursday and Friday.

You will be fine.

You get an idea how deep it is at Shilgarnika by looking back at the webcam pics from begining of Dec.

The fence is probably 1 and half metres in height and the snow is well over half way up it!!!!!

Yes, I can vouch for Val, I was there last week and it pizzed down on us all week just so you lucky people could have some decent snow
