I was recently shocked when trying to book apartments through banskoapartments.com that one it took them ages to reply and when they did, the prices were greatly inflated to that which grabbed my attention. Example. The Studio Apartment Pirin Big#1 was advertised on the net at approx £230 for the week, when they replied it had become a whopping £280.... and low and behold the website prices had changed too... What's going on... the reason to go to Bulgaria is meant to be price. (I did not ...

What's going on... the reason to go to Bulgaria is meant to be price. (I did not book with them in the end)... They also quoted me 140 Euros for transfer from Sofia to Bansko to Sofia - Sorry if it sounds like I'm having a dig, but it was wrong of them to go changing the prices, when I requested the Apartment when advertised at the lower rate. Anyway, booked at a lodge and saved loads of dosh, more dosh to spread around the local economy and all in the pockets of the greedy few...??

Was the transfer per person?...
The reason i am asking is because it is my intention to base an apartment management company in Bansko exclusively for UK owners, apartment cleaning and maintenance, letting, transfers and possibly low cost flights...

I am going out to review this in the summer, it is comments like yours and others that have prompted me. I have good contacts in Bansko and Sofia who inform me that the BG business ethic is to make as much as they possibly can with little thought for the future (business planning ??). I feel this could present a good opportunity for a well run agency offering reasonable rates for an inclusive service.
Everyone would benefit in the end, tenants and owners (and obviously me !!)

The Rate was for the studio and the Transfer worked out at 140 Euro for 2 Persons

Thanks Dee...Gives me some idea, the transfer is about right if that was both ways, three and a half hours from Sofia (approx 150km) though you could get a minibus with eight people for around the same price (about £10.00 per head), this will be something else i will be looking at..
I will agree quite steep for a two person studio...
