This year I will have been skiing for forty years started on the school ski trips to a place in Italy Moena and introduced my wifey Tania on the slopes of Pamporovo I think in 1989 and been going to this resort on and off since
40 years... it's a lifetime... 37 years for me. Late starter as couldn't afford school trips, but did 12 winters in the Alps working (instructor and guide) till i was in my 30's, then the wife at the time decided i should get a real job :-( . Still holidayed but only a couple of weeks a year. Once she had moved on time and money became an issue (working to pay house and maintenance ?) but still managed to get away... Discovered BG in 2002, was with non-skiing partner who hated the snow, so ...

Been 7 years now, met Wendy the first winter at the 'Ski-athong' . Now ironically i do less skiing than i ever did with work, but i can pick my days... and i can tell you i have had some awesome days Life is for living, and it's generally mountain shaped

And the black run, steep does not really describe it, as you said coming up on the chair it looks like a frozen water fall.

They were awesome days.... the black in Dobriniste is errrrrr interesting and that day of powder, waist deep on piste, and bottomless off, classic There have been many more, first tracks with Canski off the top at Todorka, the people in front of us fell in the deep powder on piste (a group of girls the lifty had allowed past us to be first up the t-bar), dropping into the champayne bowl through the gulleys, not a track, skimming tree tops with the depth of snow, tree skiing at the ...

Got a feeling this season, the snow will come.... BIG snow, 3 day storm which will dump 1.5m..... fingers crossed mid Jan, quiet hopefully so the mountain will be your playground......... but don't tell anyone
