The news is full of talk of global warming and all that pants and I'm getting bored of it!I think global warming is great idea for our summer holidays but wish it could be sorted out through the winter months so we could get more snow to ski on!

Global warning is very real and very present as we have seen this winter. I got to the alps every summer for about 10 days as I am also a mountaineer and I have noticed, even in the last 5yrs, just how much it is receding the glaciers and glaciers that use to be wet glaciers are now dry glaciers for much of year. That is not a good sign as it means that the perma-frost is thawing which is why large rock faces have been breaking away from the mountains (perma-frost literally bonds the ...

When I was in Bansko last year the locals were telling me that it was the most snow they've had in years - there was too much snow if anything. On that basis I presume this global warming must have happened all within the last 12 months?Just seems to me that when it's a few degrees warmer than last year that's global warming but when it's a few degrees colder that's a fluke?
