Yes,I've been there a week ago!...There was not enough snow then but at the moment there are some heavy snowfalls in Bulgaria!Even in my hometown Sofia there is a cover of about 10 cm snow!
I am expecting 75 cm on the slopes of Bansko in the end of this week!...
As for the entertainment possibilities,I wouldn't say Bansko is the best place to have fun at!...Borovets is in a way more appropriate for that!
However on both places you can have some great skiin'...
Thanks for the information. I'm going with 5 kids, so I'm not looking to go out and have a wild time - all we care about is the skiing! Can you recommend any ski hire shop or ski school?

But anyway...I cant tell you exactly which ski school is considered to be the best!I have just heard that ULEN Ski School is one of the most appropriate for children!As for the ski equipment,I would recommend you to check if there is a ski wardrobe at the hotel you will stay in!Or maybe it would be better if you hire your equipment from the first station of the new-built Gondola lift,situated in the town-there all the skis & the ski shoes are brand new!
You could also visit any of the so called "mehani" (something like a tavern) 'cause it said tourists like them!...
