Dollars or Sterling

I went to my local post office to get some currency for my hol and they reccommended taking US dollars. Has anyone taken dollars to pamps? Do you get a more favourable exchange rate with dollars as opposed to sterling or is it much of a muchness?

Only ever go to Borovets and only ever take Sterling. Usual stuff, no old notes, no writing on them etc. You may and proably can take dollars but I don't see the point really, just take sterling, much easier and 100% welcome. I assume the same is with Pamps but I'm sure someone will let you know.
