Drove up the mountain road today...

Rain turned to snow from about halfway, getting heavier as i approached 2/3... Took a pic so people would believe this phenomenon in what seemed a clear in the weather.. sat in the car to go back down and it started snowing again
Could be time to wax my skis

Been a doddle this season so far mate, so we are going to pay for it at some point All this praying for snow is a double edged sword for us, we want it for the guests, but have to drive in it 
We'll see what happens eh ? Love it when a guest says 'how do you drive in this ?' and then raises an eyebrow when we charge them... they all seem to assume that BG is third world and fuel is 20p a litre Ah well, i quite enjoy driving in the snow, bit of a challenge, but idiots coming ...

Fingers crossed we will be ok

What are the thoughts on weather locally ? There were reports of a foot or so over this coming weekend but no longer.
We are due out on Sunday so may catch up with you in the Irish Harp at some point. I hope Brian is still providing nice steak !
I don't suppose the lift pass issue is affecting you too much at the moment. I am surprised it hasn't had more coverage in the ski press/community. Have Ulen given any reasons yet ?

Local weather could be described as more wintery, overcast and cold, with intermittent snow showers on the mountain, a bit of a contrast to the blue skies we had seen for almost a month. The weekend is predicting 20cm with freezing temps down below 900m, so we are expecting snow in the town. Todorka has had snow, but the wind has blown a lot away and the cover is not complete, but they have opened the 3 man from Shilligarnika today which will allow access to the bottom 2/3 of Todorka ...

Hopefully with the new snow at the weekend it will completely allow the opening of all pistes and lifts..
Don't start us on the lift pass issues, 40 day pass for 1500 lv
making a full season 4500 lv , the day pass has not actually gone up, but buying a 3 or 6 day has, so the savings now are virtually nothing... check out and look at prices to do the maths yourself... If i am to pay Ulen any compliment, it will be to their work in getting the cannons to run, low water pressure and failing supplies was causing problems, but they sorted it, to be able to run cannons..
Good news is that Brian is still there, bigger and better, and the steaks are still v good

I just had a look at the livestream tv and its blowing horizontal snow on Tadorka,no wonder it's not sticking to the slope.Are Ulen just trying to drive out competition from other instructors ? I can't see any other reason for it after seeing what they did to the Teepee bar. No such thing as the monopolies commission in Bulgaria....
