Duty Free?

Hi All, Lovin the Forum. Going to Bansko in Feb for first time and staying at the Strazhite, Can anyone tell me what the Duty Free is like at Sofia Airport and also what stuff can you buy in Bansko? Cheers.

Duty Free in Sofia airport is basic but good - alcohol and ciggies, plus a few beauty products too

Buy it all locally. Bottles of local gin and vodka around £2 last year. Don't smoke myself but I've heard cigs are cheap locally too.

We bought a bottle of baily's at Sofia airport for £10, would have worked out £1 cheaper at heathrow (but only because of special offer). I think the perfume was cheap according to my cousin who bought a 200ml CK One for £30? There were a couple of souvenir shops in Bansko, had some nice trinkets, bought a donkey ornament for 2 lev (about 70p). Apparently cigars were cheap (not that I smoke them to know any difference), forgot to check the tobacco though (again, not a smoker).

We came back 30th Decenber from Pamporovo.
The wife smokes and got some Embassy No1 on the way out.
They are as cheap as £1.50 a packet!!!
She couldn't find her brand over there, even in the supermarkets, she wishes that she had got more.
It is easier to get whatever you want smokes and spirits wise at our airports.

We were in Boro last year and bough ciggies, they were fakes so beware!! Packets looked real but on closer inspection they were copies. My hubby smoked the cigs but said they were stronger than the real thing.
Buy cigs at the airport or on the plane on the way out. We bought vodka on the way home in sofia airport for £5 a litre bottle.
