EASTER SKIING

Has anyone skied in Borovets during the first week of April? Also, do the lift systems shut over Easter?

re: EASTER SKIING

Hi Jamie,
We were in Boro that time this year, it was the 1st weekend of April. Skiing was fab, very different to when we went in Jan!

Weather was fab.......very sunny. Spent most of the mornings skiing then late lunch and sunbathing on top of the mountain at Mussala Hut! Just managed to ski back before snow got too heavy.........Heaven!

Must say though we booked a couple of weeks before we went so we knew there'd be snow. Been 2nd week March before and the skiing wasn't any better. ...

Must say though we booked a couple of weeks before we went so we knew there'd be snow. Been 2nd week March before and the skiing wasn't any better. Dont forget there will be less skiing on lower slopes but the new snow cannons on Yastrebets ensure skiing later in the season.

The lifts were open but closed the next week so its worth checking.

My advice, if you want to ski that late in the season leave booking as late as poss so you know there's gonna be snow!
Hope this helps, Amanda

re: EASTER SKIING

Hi Jamie
I'm a ski instructor here in Boro. The lifts do not shut over Easter. Agree last year early April was excellent if you knew where to go, in some places sketchy. The chances of good snow reduce the leater you get.
Email me if you need anything else.
