I visited Borovets in March and and a great time learning to Ski. I am thinking of visiting again at Easter but am concerned as almost all the charter flights have stopped so:
1. Will the bars and restaurants be open for Apres Ski and food on at night (I loved Buzz Bar and Marmacitas in March)
2. What is the snow normally like - I am just getting into skiing so don't want anything too difficult at this stage.
Toni it depends how old you are.
If you want good skiing head West and to high resorts with glacier skiing areas to guarantee good snow experience.
If you want cheap alcohol drinks and a little bonus to do some skiing an hour here and there and pay dearly for that pleasure- head to Bulgaria.
Get your rain coat though as if precipitation happens it will come in the worst form(as rain) for ski lovers.

The warm spell has finished and temps have dropped again, snow has been forcast for friday and saturday, probably not too much, but a covering.
So if your not expecting too much you should be fine, runs at the top are ok as are yastrebets.
Buzz bar and Mamacitas will probably be closed as they are seasonal, but the bars and restuarants that are owned by locals will be ...

Buzz bar and Mamacitas will probably be closed as they are seasonal, but the bars and restuarants that are owned by locals will be open all year. So although alot quieter than March, still local bars and restaurants open that are good.
We went in April a few years ago and had a great time, i'm sure you will too
