Easter in Scotland

Off up the road for a long weekend at the folks house ... and it looks like Nevis Range near Fort William is still open! YES! Looks like that run in Pamps a few weeks ago wasn't my last time on a board this season.

Got a cool hat?
Nevis, glencoe, and cairngorm have all just had a big dump of snow (soooo bloody jealous!). 6 " powder at the top of glencoe that they reckon will pack down nicely.
boooooo

re: Easter in Scotland

I'd prefer Glencoe to Nevis Range, simply because it's closer, but there seems to be more open at Nevis

re: Easter in Scotland

Glencoe's only open at weekends but nevis seems to getting the most snow this season. Have only been to Lecht, Glenshee and Cairngorm so I can't really comment on the merits of the other two. I know Glenshee has had a terrible season this year. THey've only had claybrokie open for most of the season with man made snow. Even the Lecht has managed more than that!
What a shame.
Have fun dude. Wish I was going too

re: Easter in Scotland

Used to love it when I lived in Ayrshire. I was about 2 hours from Glencoe so I used to make it up amost every Wednesday during the season. Looking at it now I can sort of see why it closed down ... I usually had the place almost to myself.

re: Easter in Scotland

Shame really. My first year at Aberdeen Uni we had great season. That's when I learnt to ski. I was up there every weekend from November until nearly may (admittedly I did spend enough of the tax payers money to fund a revolution in most 3rd world countries - but that was a good year!) Not had many like it since (errk I sound old already and it was hmmm do you know that was 10 years ago? wow!)
