Eating in Pamps

Im off to pamps 10th Jan and im wondering where to go for food. I am half board so some evenings we will eat at the hotel (snezhanka) but we will venture out some evenings. We may also want lunch or a nice warm breakfast around the slopes.

I know people say the food on the slopes is poor and pricey so where can I go for some good food at tidy(ish) prices. names and rough locations will be good.

The eating places down at ski centre 2 are reasonable I think. They do great baked potatoes. Try the Danmar as you come into Pamporovo just on the left past the Police checkpoint. I can recommend the Steak Hawaii cooked on the open fire, mixed grills great to and very good prices.

The Restaurant House has excellent food and superb atmosphere. barbecue lamb and calf suckling recommended.

Climax of the evening... the Bulgarian bagpiper, who strolls around in traditional costume. Excellent staff and wonderful food.

On the mountain there's a place right beside the bottom ski lift at ski centre 2 that was very reasonably priced this year. It's a bit characterless (think self service cafeteria), but the food is good. The Lodge up at the top was also ok.
We stayed in the Snezhanka last year and are returning in Feb 09.

Restaurant House is in main street on the left as you go in, on the corner of the junction which has yellow 'exit' sign. Almost opposite Alaska supermarket.
